The only method of acquiring PRS™-probes is through an Analysis Agreement with Western Ag Innovations. Currently, Western Ag Innovations is the only company in the world marketing the PRS™-probes; therefore, the PRS™-probes need to be ordered and shipped from Western Canada. For researchers situated in the United States PRS™-probes can be ordered and shipped to Western Ag Labs in Sherwood, North Dakota.

A typical research project using the PRS™-probes begins with a consultation with a Western Ag Innovations R&D Coordinator regarding the logistics (i.e., costs, the number of PRS™-probes needed, placement, length of burial, etc.) involved when using the PRS™-probes. Once these details are established, a Research Proposal is submitted and then a Non-Collaborative or Collaborative Analysis Agreement is filled out and signed by both parties, which outlines responsibilities for both Western Ag Innovations and the Researcher. The Collaborative Analysis Agreement gives research scientists affiliated with publicly funded research organizations a 20% discount off of our analysis cost and includes technical support by the R&D staff while using ™-probes in the research project.

The principal requirement of the Collaborative Agreement is that following the completion of the study; the researcher must provide Western Ag Innovations with a copy of the final report from the research project. The report should include the study objective(s), explanation of treatments, timing and method of PRS™-probe burial, a summary of the project results to date, preliminary conclusions, along with a description of the work remaining on the project. It is not necessary to write a special report just for us, we will accept copies of reports generated for other purposes. Depending on the novelty of the study, we intend to showcase this PRS™-probe related data at scientific meetings and in our tri-annual Technical Updates. Please note that this is done ONLY after receiving permission from the researcher to do so.
