R&D Co-ordinator Job Description

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: Stage I R&D Coordinator located in Saskatoon and/or any other major research center.
JOB OBJECTIVE: To serve the worldwide scientific community in using PRS™-probes for research to better measure soil nutrient bioavailability and thereby describe the mechanisms that govern resource flow through terrestrial ecosystems.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (What you would be doing):
- Creating and sustaining a strong network in the scientific community.
- Supporting the collaborative research projects with existing and new clients.
- Working with the lab staff to manage critical workload periods.
- Developing potential markets for PRS™ applications (Stage II).
- Actively promoting the PRS™-probes throughout scientific events and technical bulletins.
- Maintaining current knowledge of soil-related scientific research to be a productive source of scientific information for clientele.
CORE JOB REQUIREMENTS (What you already know or will learn):
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Soil Science, Forestry, Environmental Science or Turfgrass disciplines.
- Work experience in a customer service field.
- Technical knowledge of soil science, plant physiology and general scientific research methods.
- Technical knowledge of the PRS™-probe and how it can be applied successfully in a number of research scenarios.

- Self-motivation and self-discipline to prioritize and complete projects.
- Open, honest communication and teamwork skills.
- Oral and written presentation skills of research results.
- Computer training and data management competence.
- Energy, confidence and a strong work ethic.

REMUNERATION:
- Salary starting at $40,000 plus performance bonus based on serving customers needs.
