Steven graduated with distinction from the Edward School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) in the fall of 2008. Steven majored in finance, but also has background in marketing and human resources. In addition, Steven has studied in the humanities and sciences.

Through school, as well as personal pursuit, Steven has developed computer-programming skills. He is well equipped to perform web based programming as he has extensive knowledge with databases (MySQL), as well as languages such as HTML, PHP, and JavaScript.

Currently Steven has two major focuses in his job. Steven, through personal contact and through Western Ag Innovations R&D Co-ordinators, acts a liaison to facilitate research. Steven conducts market research to better serve researchers through the developing and implementing and maintaining in-house software systems. Regular maintenance of Western Ag Servers, as well as the design and maintenance of Western Ag Websites and software are also performed by Steven.

As Western Ag Innovations’ Business Intelligence Officer, Steven will provide an environment fixated on helping researchers achieve their goal. By assisting researchers he will be able to continually educate himself through projects in agriculture, ecology, forestry, and turf.
