Accipiter is a hard red winter wheat. It was developed by the Crop Development Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The wheat has a high rate of winter survival along with strong yield. This variety is a semi-dwarf with strong straw and good stem rust resistance. Farm and Ranch Guide ranks Accipiter #3 in winter hardiness.
More information on Accipiter and how it compares to other Winter Wheats can be found from the North Dakota State University, here published by Ducks Unlimited, and at the Washington State University website.
