Examples
- Interactions between deadwood and soil characteristics in a natural boreal trembling aspen - jack pine stand. Brais and Drouin (2012) used PRS® Probes to determine nutrient supply under logs and under lignic and alignic forest floor in aspen and jack pine stands. PRS® supply rates of NO3 were higher under alignic forest floor than under lignic forest floor in both aspen and jack pine forests. PRS® supply rates of K and P were higher under fresh logs and well-decomposed logs.
